So thankful Chai pulled me over for our mini "shoot" in front of Kawaii In Manila 2's jeepney! You don't see a lot of kawaii jeep (short term for jeepney, the way we called it in Manila) but thanks to Kawaii.PH team, they got it for you! I love this fusion of Philippines and Japan! Too awesome for words!

HM top, EMODA skirt, TOKYO BOPPER shoes

A commuter's lifestyle in Manila could be pretty hard. With pollution, aggressive PUV drivers and packed train cars but how could anyone say no to a kawaii jeepney? For those who haven't been to the Philippines, jeepney (the vehicle on the background) is one of the main public transportation in the country. I love that it's cheap and convenient as it takes you to places that you could have walked instead. Living in Japan for 1/5 of my life, it trained me to walk for at least 30 minutes a day. I'm usually forced to walk more than that though. Whenever my friends from the Philippines visit, they got so tired easily from all the walking! But no jeepneys will save you here. Trains would probably the BEST transportation invention. It is also my favourite! Even though Philippines might be far from having the kind of convenience we get from trains and bullet trains, maybe we could push kawaii jeepneys idea instead? If there's a little less air pollution, I would take it in a heartbeat! I saw some cute taxis along the metro in the world wide web. Someone make kawaii jeepneys happen please!

Presenting THE Rainbowholic x Lucy Pop collaboration top! Kaila handed me this at the KAWAII IN MANILA 2 after "party" in Café Mary Grace Greenbelt. Teehee! I am so excited to wear it so the moment I had a chance to go out and shoot, I instantly thought of "how to wear my first kawaii seifuku?"

Of course if it isn't obvious enough, I'm going to wear it with gingham skirt. Bless the gingham! Awesome!

Next, with my go-to lipstick Countessa Fluorescent c/o Lime Crime! Fuschia and red, why not?

JUST LOOK AT THAT LOGO!! So proud of Kaila (Rainbowholic) for her first Lucy Pop collaboration! I'M SURE there will be a lot more things in store for her in the future!

PS. Sorry too many wrinkles on my skirt. I don't have an iron at my apartment! UH-OH I'm a too honest.. Hahaha!

Sprinkling this look with my AA bow, Tokyo Boppers and an infectious smile!

I'm so in love with these details. Congrats Kaila, my human lucky charm! Too many good things happened since I met this girl. Hihi

At 12 years old I dreamt of studying in Japan and wear seifuku to school but even though it didn't happen, my little sisters got to go to a Japanese elementary and Junior high school a few years back. I feel like it was already a dream come true that time, I never knew that it could also magically happen to me too. This time, I'm wearing a kawaii seifuku (thanks to Lucy Pop and Rainbowholic)! Nothing will beat this experience! Full of joy, positive energy and loads of high-powered shine, that's a real kawaii girl! I am happy to be one!

BLESS THE GINGHAM, Jeffrey Campbell heels, Elle Poupee tote, Whimsicute bow

This Totoro tote is my go-to bag of the moment. I just can't leave my Totoro at home. I'm a big fan of Ghibli Films most especially Totoro so the instant I saw this at Elle Poupee booth at Kawaii In Manila 2, I just have to get it! It perfected my outfit of the day as well!

I'm taking the gingham trend everywhere I go. I was just wearing a pink gingham skirt (by Emoda) at Kawaii In Manila 2 and here I am again donning a black one from! It is so pretty and very doll-like, don't you think? To match the whole look, I wore Whimsicute bow!

LOVE - is my motivation for everything that I do whether I teach, I blog, I write, I take photos, I make friendships, organize a fashion show, unite people together, just basically anything I do. I just have to say that popularity will never give me that kind of drive. I guess I'm getting old or I'm plain too old for fame. My friend Misato of funktique told me one time, "you're going to be like (insert a name of a famous Malaysian blogger here) of the Philippines" and I was like, "uhm, no." It's not a bad thing to be popular, it could be a some sort of evidence that you've been successful in life sometimes but I guess it was just never really my priority. And being in Manila for KIM2 just proved that. Witnessing fashion shows by very creative people of Dolly KayeDorotee Sweetlips, La Princesse Tea Doll and Forestale (just to mention a few) made me think about what I wanted to do in the future. I want to create something. I want to study (preferably at Bunka) and achieve something in Japan like Mikio Sakabe and Jenny Fax. Well obviously, I'm thinking too much. But it isn't bad to dream a little too much.

I was luckily invited to the Maybelline Big Eyes launch in Tokyo and got to sit front row as well! It was schedule to be an hour of talk (about how this new product could make your eyes look bigger thus BIG EYES) and cupcake party (by Magnolia Bakery). It was launched at nicofarre in Roppongi.

これはメイベリン ニューヨークの新しい商品です。日本未発売アイテムがずらり!

マグノリアベーカリーから BIGEYES cupcake! とってもおいしいかったです!

This is their model for the launch, she was really pretty. It was very pleasing to the eyes see her on the big screen! I'll definitely try the zigzag tip I've learned from applying Maybelline VOLUM'EXPRESS.

This mascara has two brushes: a bigger brush for your upper lashes and smaller one for your lower lashes. It's really effective since we have thin lower lashes, right?

The party was packed by amazing Japanese press and bloggers. I'm so happy!

メイベリン&エッシーPRの山内, 本当にありがとうございました!

Hi lovelies, I finally got a free time to write about my #KawaiiInManila2 experience! I've been really O.C. on how to write this post just because it's an event that's really close to my heart! We've been working really hard just to bring you the best of Japan, Tokyo, Harajuku! For me, my journey "officially" started when we're doing kawaii campaign with Kaila, Emika and Elleanor in Harajuku. Before that of course I've already been blogging about everything "kawaii", my life and my style. When Kaila asked me to be KIM2 Kawaii Ambassadress, I was overwhelmed! First, it was really my dream to be an ambassadress that's why I took up AB-ISE (International Studies Major in European). I've actually thought of representing "kawaii" a long time ago but I've never really took it seriously. Second, this is the paramount of every kawaii girls' dream and to be a part of it is something I'm really proud of. And lastly, I've read Kaila and Anne Kate's piece for their talk about how they've wanted to change everybody's perception about "kawaii" and it touched my heart because I feel the same way! The only way to change the world is to build a new one. We're getting there! Again, I want to take this opportunity to give gratitude to Kaila, Kuya Eric and the whole Dream Team for believing in me and sponsoring my trip to Manila. It was one of those moments that I could say (in behalf of everyone), "My life has changed." It wasn't only my life but I think every girl and guy who've attended Kawaii in Manila has been altered for the better! And after the event, everyone got a new inspiration and motivation to push and work harder towards their dreams.

From Haneda, I've taken Philippine Airlines (Mabuhay!) to Manila. I've arrived at around 7:00 pm at NAIA2 and went to Hotel Celeste to greet (common courtesy for Japanese also called as aisatsu) the team! Aside from Kaila, it's the first time for me to meet everybody and it was all rainbows everywhere. I feel really ashamed that I've only brought one box of Royce chocolates for all of them just because I don't have any baggage space (I brought the clothes and shoes for Harajuku Fashion Show from Japan to The Philippines literally). I promise to bring pasalubong (omiyage) for each of you the next time I'm visiting! Anyway, I really liked the location of Hotel Celeste as it is only 5 minutes walk from Greenbelt, the parking area, convenience store and almost everything you need in a city. I'm definitely recommending everyone who needs a unique kind of space in Makati to stay there!

Fun fact: I've borrowed two tutu skirts from Kaila when we've met that night and you'll see (or you've already seen) me wearing it on the photos below! We've dined at Marciano's Greenbelt and I was seated beside the lovely Kaye Romero of Dolly Kaye (Pastel-kei Idol). We've been giggling about everything since then! Attendance: Celine (Hello kawaii baby girl unicorn!), Kaila (Miss Rainbowholic), Kuya Eric (Kuya ng Bayan), Mikee (K-pop lady), Anne Kate (I love you Anne Kate), Chi Chi (Little Miss Paint Brush), Francis (Mr. Photographer) and Justin (Coca-Cola, love ko 'to).

The next morning! This is it!! Justin and I arrived at White Space at 7:00am. Kaila and Celine were already there before us! Here's a little snap of our kawaii workshop booth!

While waiting for the Harajuku Fashion Show models, I was greeted by a "good morning from Tokyo Fashion" message via instagram! There I was with Misato of Funktique! Thank you so much for supporting Kawaii In Manila 2. It means the world to us! I hope to meet you guys soon! This is how I've seen Harajuku, everybody helps everybody. And that's also how I wanted the world to be.

When the models arrived at around 9:00am, I let them try the clothes on for a dress rehearsal. Luckily, most of the clothes fit them perfectly! Here, I also confessed that I've checked their facebook profiles to know who's gonna fit in which clothes. By sheer luck, everything (their style and size) fit like a glove.

At White Space : By the entrance you'll see Fuji Film booth in collaboration with KIM2 and Candy Kawaii Lover. Super thanks to Chi Chi for polishing my illustrations for the props and for my standee!  If you've noticed the Mickey hat the attendee used, that's one of the most iconique hats I wore in one of my outfit posts. Thanks to Kiko Cagayat for letting me borrow it! They're also holding the mind bubble that says "TOKYO".

I love you, Chi Chi for perfecting my ideas. I could never do it without you! Everyone who visited the Fuji Film instax booth and had their photo taken got a free polaroid as well!

My mini me and I! Thank you Gervin for taking a photo of me in my Celine blazer, Lily Brown Dress, Zara heels in Ginza. It now has an chibi illustration by Chi Chi, a standee and a collaboration with Fuji Film Instax (PH). See the pose history here.

Justin and I love #KawaiiInManila2 and #TOKYO!

Beside the Fuji Film booth, you've also seen the Harajuku wall! If I remember correctly, I took this photo too and they've it altered a little.

Hi, mon petit cheri (my little darling in French)!

On your right (from the entrance), you'll see The Rainbowholic Café x Love Agnessi. I'm so proud of Kaila for this! You can get a cookie and matcha au lait set for only Php100! That's a great deal! A cup of coffee in Japan could cost you the same price without the cookie (insert sad face here). I stayed here for a while to talk with these cuties (Kaila's childhood friends) at the booth and munch on the cookies. It was awesomeee! I'm kind of craving for it now!

Cute heart-shaped glasses!

The rainbowholic café lovely lady is Kaila's bestfriend! She is super kawaii! I love her gingham skirt.. Now, please tell me where she got it! She's also wearing Rainbowholic x Lucy Pop collaboration designed by Kaila! Superb work my love!

Next stop, Ikemen Guy Contest! Ikemen Guy WINNER! Omedetou Gozaimasu!

Just right before this, Rian Gonzales made a 20x30 watercolor painting for only 2 hours! My mind was blown!

Kiko Cagayat was our Ikemen Guy contest poster boy! What is he holding again?

Sleeping on my interview! Just kidding.. I just think it's funny to post this! This is the start of everything happening at once. I was judging the Ikemen Guy Contest with Kamiyama-san and Yukie-san (both flew all the way from Japan to Manila for Lucy Pop) when Anne Kate went to us and told me about the interview! It was definitely nerve-wracking! Hope I did well. Let me know how I was once you caught it at IBC and Hero TV.

Fun Fact: After the interview Yukie-san asked me "レポーター やってますか?" (which kinda means, are you a reporter too? or are you doing TV reports?) Maybe in the future, we could do a kawaii lifestyle TV? WHY NOT!

After the Kawaii Girl contest, everything is already a blur. It became even more crazy busy as we're doing preparations for Harajuku Fashion Show!

Top Left to Right: Renz Brillantes for Josiah Chua, Kimberly Sabino for Punk Cake, Keziah Vivo for Pinnap

Bottom Left to Right: Angela Mae Almazan for Lactose Intole-Art, Ashley Dy for Pinnap, Wynona Cabrera for Funktique

I'm out of words right now.. Once upon a time we were just dreaming of bringing Harajuku brands to Manila and now looking back, I'm asking myself "how did that happen?" Thank you, thank you, thank you so much to everyone who've helped us! Special thanks to Misato and Hijiri of Funktique, Marippe and the owners of Pinnap, Kinjy and Mikki (MY LOVE) of Punk Cake, everyone at Pinnap, my friends Josiah Chua and Brandon of Lactose Intole-Art!

Renz Brilliantes was amazing on stage! Josiah loved it! I sadly missed Lucy Pop show on stage just because Harajuku Fashion Show was scheduled right after but I've heard lots of good comments about it!! Good job to my Dolly Kaye for directing, kuya Eric for bringing Lucy Pop, Kamiyama-san (Lucy Pop CEO) and Yukie-san, Kaila, the Lucy Pop models (specially baby girl Celine)!

After all the shows, I fixed everything we've used for Harajuku Fashion Show to make sure we didn't lose anything! I'm going to die if I misplace any of it! Seriously speaking, everything was so expensive (Japan). The fur coat I wore was around ¥40,000 and a prized item of PINNAP. And so when I exited the dressing room, I've missed Kaila and Anne Kate's talk! LE SIGH! Anyway here are some of the photos of my friends, new found friends and long lost friends I've met at Kawaii In Manila 2!

Ana Gonzales of Bloggers United came to support us! Kilig ako! I was jumping up and down whenever I see people who purposely attended to show their love. I love you, Ana!

Ghey Galura (modeled for Punk Cake) and Geneva Abaya (modeled for Kinsella) are my new babies! Thank you, lovelies!

I also went shopping at the kawaii bazaar after all the work! Dolly Kaye dresses were sold out fast before I even get one! T_T Congrats, Kaye!

Soon The Moon by Reese Lansangan : I got the pink pineapples!

Reese's aesthetics.. makes me wanna buy everything! I have to control myself.

I went crazy at Hodge Podge booth! It was awesome to meet you, Gel!

With Chai (my favourite girl) and Zal (so happy to see a mori girl) who told me that she saw me in Harajuku once (and guess what was I doing?)

Finally met Mich (I Left My Heart in Tokyo | Kawaii.Ph blogger) ! She was so tall and pretty!

Thank you kuya Eric (kuya ng bayan)! See you soon in Japan!

And thank you ate Claire (mimiclairesweets)! I really want to meet you and Chisa!

Baby Chisaaa!!!

A paragraph won't be enough to thank you, Kaila! You're definitely one of those people who are contagiously positive! Thank you for believing in me (and all of us from team)! We might not be perfect human beings and I surely have lots of flaws but together, we could make a great team!
WE love you, Kaila!

I thought I won't be able to see Tricia as I took a long time at the dressing room after the shows so when I saw her, I was beaming and jumped for joy! Thank you, Tricia! As always, bitin but I'm always happy to talk with you! Hope we can bring Markstyler brands (our favourites!) Murua, Emoda and Dazzlin to the Philippines in the near future! I love you!

Ended this day playing around with Kaye at the Fuji Film instax booth! She is the cutest as Tricia said on her blog, can I keep you in my pocket?"

Ending this post with love and gratitude in my heart for all of you! Cheers to the friendship we've made and all the dreams that came true!
